Grand in scale and engaging in personality, the beauty of cherry veneers and selected solids is finished in a dark cherry stain with hand distressing to bring out the character of the wood. Combination swinging bails, ring pulls, knobs, and keyhole escutcheons in a timeworn finish generously adorn this dresser. Tenon and mortise construction, a centuries-old method for joining two pieces of wood, provides strength and durability. The drawers are dovetailed front and back, and veneer drawer bottoms protect your things. Center-guided drawer guides with positive drawer stops ensure that drawers will operate smoothly and quietly for years to come.
The dresser has two top vanity-sized drawers with felt-lined bottoms, shaped ring pulls, and keyhole escutcheons; two deep middle drawers have a multi-drawer look with shaped ring pulls and knobs; and four bottom drawers which are graduated in size and adorned with swinging bails. The dresser also has shaped tops, a heavy base rail, parting rail, and pilasters, as well as 18th-century shaped feet. An optional mirror is also available. The dresser's dimensions are 52W x 18D x 37H inches.
