The nightstand starts with durable hardwood and rich walnut veneers, hand-selected and matched by color and wood grain to create a seamless, consistent look. Veneers are stronger and more durable than solid wood as they resist shrinking, swelling, warping and cracking. They're finished here in a warm, rustic Aged Timber, which enhances the natural beauty - and natural imperfections - of the wood veneers. The entire piece is manufactured in an environmentally friendly process, so you won't have to worry about waste before it arrives at your door.

Four roomy, stacked-look drawers feature wood sides and backs with veneer bottoms - they're durable and less likely to warp over time and in humidity changes. Each drawer bottom is stained and sealed to protect materials placed inside. Dovetail construction creates smooth edges, and stop blocks are nailed and glued behind each drawer to ensure the drawer stops solidly and in the proper position.

Custom-designed solid brass hardware, finished in rich bronze, adds a little gleam. Adjustable levelers keep the entire chest steady and in place.
