The armoire unit - including a deck and base - starts with durable hardwood and rich walnut veneers, hand-selected and matched by color and wood grain to create a seamless, consistent look. Veneers are stronger and more durable than solid wood as they resist shrinking, swelling, warping and cracking. They're finished here in a warm, rustic Aged Timber, which enhances the natural beauty - and natural imperfections - of the wood veneers. The entire piece is manufactured in an environmentally friendly process, so you won't have to worry about waste before it arrives at your door.
The deck and base both have convenient bi-fold wraparound doors, all constructed with a precise, tight fit to prevent gaps and sagging and increase their structural strength. Behind the deck's doors is a neat storage space with an adjustable/removable shelf - leave it inside and add the two removable shirt partitions to create clothing cubbies or remove all the interior components and slide TVs up to 47W inches neatly inside. Below, the base also features a wide adjustable/removable shelf. Four removable shirt partitions are included - two to fit above the shelf and two to fit below. Four lower trays outfitted with custom-designed hardware can catch accessories and other small items. The trays feature wood sides and backs with veneer bottoms - they're long-lasting and less likely to warp over time and in humidity changes. Each tray bottom is stained and sealed to protect materials placed inside. Dovetail construction creates smooth edges, and stop blocks are nailed and glued behind each drawer to ensure the tray stops solidly and in the proper position.
Custom-designed solid brass hardware, finished in rich bronze, adds a sleek gleam on the front of each component, while built-in adjustable levelers keep the whole unit steady and in place.
